BISMARCK, ND—The Bismarck Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire at an apartment in East Bismarck this afternoon.
At approximately 2:45 pm on Monday, February 23, 2026, the Bismarck Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in a multi-family home on the 3200 block of East Rosser Ave.
Firefighters arrived on the scene at approximately 2:50 pm to find smoke coming from a door on the first floor of the residence. The fire was extinguished upon arrival. Fire crews verified extinguishment and searched the apartment for occupants. An overhaul was conducted to find and extinguish any hidden fire.
At the time of the fire, the tenants were in the apartment. Fire damage was limited to the kitchen, with smoke damage throughout. There were no injuries to firefighters or occupants. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
