Tammy Roesler has spent nearly 13 years with Central Dakota Communications Center (CenCom) and has been a Senior Communications Specialist for nearly two years. Her duties include responding to emergency and non-emergency incidents, managing personnel resources in the field, providing direction over the phone, and training new staff to prepare them to operate independently.
Tammy goes above and beyond by picking up vacant shifts, responding professionally and is always responsive to their needs. Her pickup of shifts helps keep other staff from being overwhelmed in their duties. During one call, she took it upon herself to contact the Nigerian Consulate for a Chaplain responding to an emergency event and assisted in relaying critical information to assist in the event response.
“Tammy is always willing to assist other employees by answering questions or helping them manage an incident,” said CenCom Communications Director Mike Dannenfelzer. “She participates in shift activities to boost morale and her approach to training equips new staff to be independent.”
