There is NO mandatory evacuation in the Southport and Harbor Drive areas today.
Based on current observed conditions, the voluntary evacuation order for the Southport and Harbor Dr area remains in effect through 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 5th. An update on the evacuation order status will be issued at that time.
Yesterday, the city commission had authorized the Police Chief to issue a mandatory evacuation order to this area effective, if needed, as of 10:00 pm. BUT, the mandatory evacuation has been delayed.
