[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Historic Preservation Month 2025

As May blooms with the promise of spring, the Bismarck Historic Preservation Commission is delighted to announce a series of exciting events throughout the month, celebrating the city’s rich history and cultural heritage. May is officially recognized as Historic Preservation Month, and the commission invites residents and visitors alike to join in the festivities.

Historic Preservation Month events and activities include a month-long downtown display showcasing Bismarck’s local literary heritage, the Bismarck Historical Society’s Founders Day trivia event on May 12, a presentation on the Former Governors’ Mansion wallpaper restoration by site supervisor Johnathan Campbell on May 14, and an introduction to window reglazing at Camp Hancock by site supervisor Johnathan Campbell on May 24. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a curious explorer, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of our city's past, there's something for everyone to enjoy this May.
