Tickets are available to purchase for the 2025 Bismarck Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. This year’s event is set for May 20 at the Bismarck Radison Hotel.

Single ticket and half- and full-table ticket options are available for purchase. Single tickets are $25, with half tables going for $250 and full tables for $500. Money raised from this event supports Crisis Care Chaplaincy (CCC).

“Crisis Care Chaplaincy provides a crucial need every day in our community for first responders and our citizens,” said Bismarck Mayor Mike Schmitz, who will serve as emcee for the event. “When an individual or group is faced with tragic circumstances, these chaplains help navigate grief and foster healing. I’m proud to further the fundraising tradition that helps ensure this wonderful organization remains a resource during those critical times of need.”

This year’s event speaker is Alan Dohrmann. Dohrmann retired as Adjutant General this past October and his decorated military career spans four decades. Dohrmann assumed duties as Adjutant General in 2015. He commanded more than 4,100 North Dakota soldiers and airmen and supervised about 1,300 full-time federal and state employees. He also served as the Director of Emergency Services consisting of two divisions: The Division of Homeland Security and the Division of State Radio Communications. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the North Dakota Governor’s Office. Dohrmann is a 1983 graduate of Minnesota State University, a 1993 graduate of the University of North Dakota, a 2002 graduate of Tufts University and a 2005 graduate of Join Forces Staff College.

“Alan Dohrmann has been an important figure in the stability of Bismarck and North Dakota throughout his career,” said CCC Chaplain Greg Carr. “He has helped respond to a number of large-scale events and has throughout his responses he has taught the lessons of community, selflessness and thoughtfulness. Alan has led an interesting career, and we are excited to have him speak during the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.”

Individuals and groups interested in attending the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast may RSVP by calling Travis Rau at (701) 355-1894 by Tuesday, May 6, or register online through Eventbrite

On the day of the event, doors open at 7 AM and the prayer breakfast will run from 7:15 to 8:30 AM. Bismarck’s Radisson Hotel is located at 605 East Broadway Avenue.

Crisis Care Chaplaincy is designed to support first responders and the individuals they serve who may be facing a personal crisis. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day at the request of partner agencies to help the members, their families and others in times of illness, injury, sorrow, stress and tension. The organization assists with death notifications, unattended deaths, suicides, house fires, natural disasters car accidents and incarceration in the detention center.
