[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Fire Department Responds to a Fire in Mobile Home

BISMARCK, ND—The Bismarck Fire Department extinguished a fire at a single-family residence on the south side of town on Friday morning.  

At approximately 1:43 AM on November 22nd, 2024, the Bismarck Fire Department received a call for a structure fire at a single-family dwelling in the 700 block of south 12th street.  Bismarck Fire crews were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters arrived on the scene at 1:47 AM to find a single-wide mobile home with smoke coming from the front of the residence. Firefighters entered the home with charged hose lines through the front door. Once inside, they found heavy smoke conditions and located the fire and quickly put it out. Additional fire crews searched the house and confirmed that everyone was evacuated. Once the fire was out an overhaul was conducted to find and extinguish any smoldering materials.

 No injuries were reported to the occupants of the home or firefighters. A family pet was taken out of the home received medical attention.

 The fire damage was contained to the room of origin, while there was smoke damage throughout the rest of the house. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
