Starting Friday, June 21, 2024, road construction begins on 3rd Street between Main Avenue and Rosser Avenue. New pedestrian curb ramps, lighting, and roadway pavement will be installed. At 3rd Street and Thayer Ave, a pedestrian crosswalk with flashing beacons will be installed across the south leg of the intersection. Work is expected to last roughly one month, weather permitting. Detours will not be used initially but may be needed during later stages of construction.
