The Bismarck Fire Department extends a warm thank you to Sam Schilling, the owner of the vacant Capitol Electric Cooperative building, for their generous support in providing a valuable training opportunity for our new firefighters training during the academy in addition to our seasoned vets.
Starting on May 17 and going till June 2, seven new Bismarck Firefighters and several new Mandan firefighters have been using the Capitol Electric Cooperative building for training activities, including search and rescue drills. The hands-on experience in this building has allowed our new firefighters to practice important life-saving skills.
The Bismarck Fire Department is incredibly grateful to the owners of the former Capitol Electric Cooperative building for their generosity provided to our firefighters with this training opportunity that will benefit the entire city.
