CenCom is celebrating the second full week of April (April 14th – 20th) as National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. This week honors the thousands of men and women who provide the critical link between those in need of help and the help they need.


The CenCom Board, the City of Bismarck, City of Mandan, and Burleigh County have recognized National Public Safety Telecommunications Week in honor of the dedication of CenCom staff. 

 

“This is an important week that serves as a way everyone can recognize the hard-working employees at CenCom, who work every day to protect the citizens of Bismarck,” said Bismarck City Commissioner Steve Marquardt. 

 

CenCom Facts:

  • Partnership between the City of Bismarck, City of Mandan, and Burleigh County.
  • Authorized Staff: 26 Communications Specialists, 4 Supervisors, Administrative Assistant, Assistant Communications Director and Communications Director.
  • 12 workstations.
  • 2023 Statistics: 43,218 9-1-1 calls, 193,897 total calls, 199,401 CAD events
