The City of Bismarck’s Human Relations Committee (HRC) is seeking applications for its annual Humanitarian Award. The award honors an individual, business or non-profit organization that has exhibited leadership, with a focus on educating, identifying, protecting and promoting acceptance and respect for diversity while discouraging discrimination.
The deadline date to receive nominations is Sunday, November 12. Submissions may be made online through a form on the HRC page on the City of Bismarck website or mailed/delivered/emailed to the City of Bismarck Administration Department:

The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Library and Geraldine Ambe, a Cameroon native, were recognized last year for the award. Ambe was nominated for her human rights advocacy, while the library was nominated for its many services and welcoming atmosphere.
The purpose of the Bismarck HRC is to create an atmosphere of inclusion, equality and accessibility through education and outreach to recognize the value of a diverse community.
