[ARCHIVED] WWII Traveling Bus Exhibit Stopping @ BPL

WWII POW

Behind Barbed Wire: Midwest POWs in Nazi Germany

The American Heartland has unique connections to the WWII prisoner of war (POW) experience. Despite this legacy, virtually no one is aware of it. Housed in a converted school bus, the mobile exhibit Behind Barbed Wire illustrates this history through narrative, texts, multi-media and artifacts. This free ‘bus museum’ exhibit and three indoor programs will be at the Bismarck Public Library on Saturday, April 2nd from 9:00 am—Noon.

View the bus exhibit outside and enjoy the following 30 minute programs in the Library’s Meeting Room B:

9:30 am: Midwest POWs in Nazi-German Camps
10:15 am: German POWs in Midwest Camps
11:00 am: German-American Civilian Internees (including those at Fort Lincoln)

These programs sponsored by:
