[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Environmental Health Accepting Informal Bids for the Spraying Noxious Weeds

The Bismarck Fire Department’s Environmental Health Division, is accepting informal bids for the spraying noxious weeds on properties located within the corporate limits of the City of Bismarck. Persons performing this activity must meet the requirements of the ND Noxious Weed Law and must be a “Certified Pest Control” applicator as required. You must have your “Certified Pest Control” certificate from Burleigh County and possess a valid Pesticide Operators Permit to apply chemicals in the City of Bismarck. Records of application, chemical applied, area treated (square feet or acres), noxious weed controlled, etc., will be made available to the Bismarck Fire Department’s Environmental Health Division upon request.

The interested bidder shall declare an hourly rate that he will honor during the entire 2011 growing season and must provide proof of insurance holding the City of Bismarck harmless of liability issues arising from noxious weed control applications. Control activities will be assigned to the low bidder as the need arises. The Bismarck Fire Department reserves the right to utilize the services of more than one bidder if the circumstances so warrant. The Bismarck Fire Department Environmental Health Division reserves the right to reject or accept all bids. Bids must be mailed or delivered to the Bismarck Fire Department, Environmental Health Division, 1020 E. Central Avenue, Bismarck, ND 58501-1936 by 5:00 p.m. on April 15, 2010.
