[ARCHIVED] City of Bismarck Snow Removal Operations - January 10-14, 2010

CITY STREETS – SNOW REMOVALCity of Bismarck Street Department crews are currently plowing snow emergency routes and major arterial streets. Once these streets are clear of snow they will move into the school routes and residential streets. Crews will work regular hours from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Crews will continue to plow until all streets are cleared.

Please move vehicles off of the street and keep them off the street until the plows are finished in your area.

It is the property owner’s responsibility to clear snow around their mailbox. If it is a cluster box, it is the responsibility of those residents to clear the snow from around the cluster box.

DOWNTOWN SNOW REMOVAL

1:00 am – 7:00 am on Wednesday, January 12thThe City of Bismarck Street Department will be removing snow from the downtown North – South streets in the signed areas (Street Cleaning/No Parking).

1:00 am – 7:00 am on Thursday, January 13thThe City of Bismarck Street Department will be removing snow from the downtown East – West streets in the signed areas (Street Cleaning/No Parking).

Any cars parked on these downtown streets during that time will be towed.
Businesses along these signed street cleaning areas should have their sidewalks cleaned before midnight on their designated day.

A reminder to all citizens, businesses, and contractors. According to City Ordinance a person may not move, dump or deposit by any means any snow or ice accumulated on private property onto any public street, alley, or public right-of-way. The fine for this violation is up to $1,000.
