Throughout the summer, Bismarck and the surrounding areas are sites for events that bring in large numbers of people, and of course more vehicle traffic. This weekend there are several major events in the area, including the ND ABATE Motorcycle Rally, Buggies and Blues, and the Missouri River Festival.
MOTORCYCLES-The North Dakota ABATE Motorcycle Rally at Menoken Grove will bring a large number of motorcycles to the area. These are smaller, low profile, more maneuverable vehicles that are more difficult for other motorists to see. Watch for motorcycles all summer, but be especially alert this weekend.
MISSOURI RIVER FESITIVAL—This carnival runs through Sunday. Be alert when driving in the area of the Bismarck Event Center parking lot where this event is being held. Watch for increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic in this area.
PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY—Wherever you go this weekend, and anytime for that matter, protect your property. Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle. Lock them in the trunk, or better yet leave them locked up securely at home.
