[ARCHIVED] Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People, Inc. Observes National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day

A memorial service observing National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day will be held Tuesday Dec. 21, 2010 at First Lutheran Church, 800 N. 7th Street (across from Bismarck High School), from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. The program will be led by Chaplin Gary Heaton of Medcenter One with a free soup dinner to follow. All community members are welcome to attend.

The Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People is sponsoring the memorial service to remember individuals who have died in our community while coping with homelessness this past year. The memorial service is conducted in communities across the country on the first day of winter, the longest night of the year, to recognize the need to continually fight to eliminate homelessness in our country.
