Effective immediately, 5th Street will be closed to traffic from Main Avenue to Front Avenue for the installation of railroad crossing gates for the quiet rail system. A detour will be in place.
The closure will be in place until late this afternoon.
Traffic should detour to the 3rd Street railroad crossing or seek alternate routes.
