PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City-County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, to consider the following items:
• Request of the City of Bismarck for a zoning ordinance text amendment relating to the FP-Floodplain District. The proposed amendments would modify many sections of the ordinance and will bring the City’s Floodplain Ordinance in line with requirements of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The proposed amendments also include provisions that would require new residential structures, attendant utilities, accessory buildings and substantial improvements to existing structures to be elevated on fill to at least two feet above the base flood elevation.
• Request of The Enrichment Garden and Bob Upgren for a special use permit for a daycare center on Lot 8, Block 2, Tibesar’s First Addition. The property is located along the east side of N 11th Street between Divide Avenue East and Capitol Avenue (1911 N 11th Street).
• Request of Chris and Roberta Hambrick for a zoning change from A-Agriculture to RR-Residential for Lot A of the NE1/4 of Section 2, T139N-R80W/Hay Creek Township. The property is located 1-3/4 miles east of US Highway 83 on the south side of 84th Avenue NE, along the west side of Arcada Drive.
• Request of Clairmont Development Company for approval of a final plat, Country West XXX, an 8 lot subdivision on 1.66 acres. The property is located along the north side of Valley Drive at the intersection with Tyler Parkway (part of the SE1/4 of Section 19, T139N-R80W/Hay Creek Township).
• Request of Clairmont Development Company for approval of a zoning change from R5-Residential zoning district to R10-Residential zoning district for Country West XXX. The property is located along the north side of Valley Drive at the intersection with Tyler Parkway (part of the SE1/4 of Section 19, T139N-R80W/Hay Creek Township).
At these hearings, the City Planning & Zoning Commission will provide an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard with respect to these items.
