[ARCHIVED] Bismarck’s Clean-Up Week Continues Through Friday Sept. 23

Bismarck’s fall clean-up week continues through Friday, September 23. Residents must place items for special pick-up at their point of collection by 8:00 am on their regular scheduled garbage day. During clean-up week, city crews will pick up items not ordinarily collected on the route such as furniture items, appliances, and tires.

Apartment ComplexesCity crews will not pick up appliances from apartment complexes. These items may be taken to the landfill, at no cost, during cleanup week.

Waste collection crews will not pick up sandbags on the route. The Contractor will be picking up sandbags in the designated collection zones as indicated on the City’s website.

A separate truck will pick up the special items set out for collection. Tree branches must be cut in 4-foot lengths and tied in bundles. All loose materials must be boxed or bagged & tied. It is illegal to remove any refuse set out for collection.

No hazardous waste or liquids accepted on the route. Please bring those items to the Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Recycling Center.
