[ARCHIVED] Sandbag Removal and Disposal Plan - Zones 7, 9 and 11 to Begin August 24

The anticipated start date for the Sandbag Removal and Disposal Plan to begin in the City of Bismarck is August 24 for Zones 7, 9 and 11.

Citizens in each zone will be notified by letter seven days in advance of when they may place sandbags in the street. Residents are asked NOT to place sandbags on their street until they are notified by letter AND until it is marked with orange cones.

Twelve zones are planned for curbside collection. Zones are numbered and WILL NOT be collected in numeric order, but rather in the order of priority. Prioritization is based upon the areas at the least risk of street flooding and river flooding. The notification by zone information and zone map will be placed on this website, Facebook and Twitter, and distributed to all local media outlets.
