BISMARCK, ND — The Bismarck Airport is seeking volunteers to participate as simulated patients for its full-scale exercise on June 24, 2024. Bismarck Airport plans and conducts a full-scale exercise every three years to test the airport’s emergency plan in a simulated real-world scenario. To add a level of realism to the exercise, the planners request volunteers to play the role of patients in the exercise.
Approximately forty (40) volunteers are needed for the 2024 exercise. For volunteers, the day starts at 9:00am at the Bismarck Event Center where they will receive exercise make-up and a safety briefing before being bused to the exercise location. As part of the exercise, volunteers will be transported back to a hospital and from there can return to their vehicles. Volunteers will be required to sign a waiver form.
