[ARCHIVED] South Washington St Road Construction and Lane Closure

BismarckMAINGenericNews

A roadway reconstruction project will be taking place within our community.  Please note the following details:

Location:

The project will take place on South Washington Street from Burleigh Avenue to Billings Drive as well as along Burleigh Avenue from Washington Street to Boston Drive.

Duration:

The project is scheduled to start on Monday, April 15th and is anticipated to last the majority of the construction season.

Traffic Changes:

Starting Monday, April 15th, traffic on South Washington Street will be limited to SOUTHBOUND only from Billings Drive to Burleigh Avenue. All NORTHBOUND traffic will be detoured as follows: east along Burleigh Avenue to 12th Street, north on 12th Street to University Drive, west on University Drive to Wachter Avenue, then west on Wachter Avenue back to South Washington Street.

Traffic can expect intermittent flagging operations to facilitate utility and trucking needs in a safe and efficient manner.

As the project evolves, southbound traffic traveling on South Washington Street will be placed on a temporary gravel roadway. Due to this and in order to maintain safety in the work zone, please expect extended travel times and reduced speeds through this area.

Public Transit:

Any Public Transit pick-ups, drop-offs or routing through the work zone may be temporarily altered. Please check with the local transit authority for any updates regarding potential changes.

Contact Information:

For any inquiries or concerns regarding this project and the mentioned traffic changes, please contact Andrew Osborn at (701) 989-4959 or andrew.osborn@kniferiver.net.

We understand that road construction can be disruptive to your daily routine, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period of improvement. These enhancements aim to create a safer and more efficient transportation network for our community.
