BISMARCK, ND – The Bismarck Fire Department extinguished a fire at a detached garage building in north Bismarck this morning.
At approximately 9:52 AM on Saturday, December 2nd, the Bismarck Fire Department received a report of a row of garages on fire at the 2000 block of N 16th St. The Bismarck Fire Department was dispatched to the scene.
Firefighter arrived at the scene at approximately 9:57 AM to find a multi-family apartment building complex with heavy smoke coming from a row of detached garages. Fire crews pulled hose lines and forced entry to several units that were involved. Firefighters quickly put out the fire, then overhauled and ventilated the 16 effected garages units.
There were no injuries to residents or first responders. The fire damage was confined to a few garages. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
