People Looking for Sandbags Should Go to Sandbag Sites
People looking for sandbags, filled or empty, should go to the established sandbag sites, NOT to the Civic Center.
The Civic Center is being used as a staging area ONLY. Empty sandbags that are at the Civic Center are being distributed to all the sandbag sites throughout the city, where they are being filled.
The sandbag sites are as follows:•Sandbag Central South – Northern Plains Commerce Center (1901 Northern Plains Drive) – open 24 hours a day.•Sandbag Central – Missouri Valley Complex (Fairgrounds), Bismarck Expressway - open 6am to 10pm
Self-Fill Sites•Ash Coulee Water Tower, West of Washington Street on Ash Coulee Drive •Santa Fe Avenue, Cottonwood Complex west of South 12th Street
•Whispering Bay Subdivision, Shoreline Circle•Sibley Drive/Hester Drive
•Ponderosa Park•Hoge Island Boat Ramp
Officials say there are shorter lines at the self-fill sites. Volunteers should bring shovels and gloves.
