Riverwood Drive will be closed to traffic starting at 6:00 am Wednesday, May 25, from Riverwood Golf Course access to the Southport Marina Parking Lot for the construction of a levee on that section of Riverwood Drive. This Closure Will Be In Place Until Further Notice.
Large numbers of trucks will be hauling material necessary to build the levee on Riverwood Drive.
Residents of Southport will have access to this area from the South. Residents should go South on Riverwood Drive to Mills Avenue, then South on Traynor Lane to Tavis Road to Burleigh Avenue to Washington Street.
Access will be maintained for Local Residents.
Citizens that do not have a legitimate reason for being in this area will not be allowed access.
