[ARCHIVED] Burgum directs flags flown at half-staff in memory of former First Lady Barbara Bush

Gov. Doug Burgum today directed all state agencies to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff, and encouraged individuals and businesses to do the same, as a mark of respect for the memory of former First Lady Barbara Bush, who passed away Tuesday at age 92.

The governor’s directive is in accordance with a proclamation issued by President Donald Trump. The proclamation calls for flags to remain lowered until sunset on the day of interment.
