[ARCHIVED] 2018 ARBOR DAY PHOTO CONTEST - "Trees Make a World of Difference"

HOW TO ENTER:

Photos shall be submitted through the Forestry Division web page:  bismarcknd.gov/forestry

A link to the photo contest page and entry form can be found on the main Forestry web page.

Deadline for submitting photos is Friday, April 13, 2018.

 

PRIZES:

Prize-winning photos will be selected by members of the City of Bismarck Forestry Division and Forestry Advisory Board.

The student who submits the first place winning photo will receive:

  • A tree planted at their school or favorite park at a special tree planting ceremony.
  • Their photo displayed at the Public Works Building during Arbor Week and on the Forestry Division web page. 
  • Recognition at the City’s Arbor Day Celebration on May 4th.
  • A framed copy of their winning photo, certificate of award and special prize.

Second and third place winners will receive:

  • Their photo displayed at the Public Works Building during Arbor Week and on the Forestry Division web page.
  • Recognition at the City’s Arbor Day Celebration on May 4th.
  • A framed copy of their winning photo, certificate of award and special prize.

 CONTEST RULES:

  • Photos must be taken by a student currently in the 5th grade.  A student may submit only one entry.
  • The photo must have been taken in Bismarck.
  • The photo may be submitted by the student, student’s parent or teacher.
  • The photo must be related to the contest theme “Trees Make a World of Difference”.
  • The photo must include a caption and a short description of how trees make a world of difference.
  • Submissions must be in JPEG format.
  • Resolution must be at least 300 dpi with a maximum file size of 6 MB.
  • The photo must be saved with the student’s first and last name as the title (example: suesmith.jpg)
  • Deadline for submitting photos is Friday, April 13, 2018.
