On January 18 at 9:09 P.M. Ulises Villalobos was arrested in Brookings S.D. by Brookings Police with assistance from the Brookings County Sheriff Office. He was taken to a local hospital for what appears to be a gunshot wound to his arm. He is currently in custody in South Dakota. Villalobos was being sought for an incident that happened earlier in the day where he attempted to run over a Bismarck Police Officer.
Police are still actively looking for the vehicle Villalobos is believed to have left Bismarck in. That vehicle is a white 2002 Subaru Legacy Outback bearing North Dakota plate 476BJY. Anyone seeing this vehicle is asked to call their local law enforcement agency.
A Brookings County Sheriff Deputy was dispatched to the East Cenex Zip Trip, 3045 Lefevre Drive, Brookings, for a gunshot victim who was wanted by Bismarck Police for attempting to run over a police officer. When the deputy arrived, another deputy and a Brookings Police Department officer were already on scene.
Ulises Villalobos had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his left arm. An ambulance was dispatched and transported Villalobos to a local hospital. He is currently in custody in South Dakota.
Once the police report is completed it will be forwarded to the Burleigh County State’s Attorney’s office for review and formal charges and extradition proceedings.
The Bismarck Police Officer has been placed on administrative leave as per department policy.
