[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Police Seek Volunteers For Records Scanning Duties

The Bismarck Police Department is looking for volunteers willing to help with scanning records. This jobs consists of scanning criminal, traffic, and juvenile reports that include a variety of different documents that are to be scanned into different categories. This is very repetitive work. Volunteer Scanners:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must possess the ability to work with computers and scanning equipment, and have the ability to work within various software programs.
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Volunteer up to 4.5 hours of time per shift. Prefer volunteers who would be able to work at least one 4.5 hour shift per week. The hours of availability for volunteering in this position are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards. May be in a position to read or come into contact with confidential or sensitive information. This information cannot be copied, removed from the Bismarck Police Department or shared with anyone other than Bismarck Police Department employees.
