[ARCHIVED] Brief power outage planned for south Bismarck late Tuesday, July 18, early Wednesday, July 19

Montana-Dakota Utilities customers in south Bismarck will experience a brief 5- to 10-minute power outage sometime between 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, and 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19. Power will be restored in sections, which is why the time-frame extends over 3 ½ hours. The affected area includes south of Riverwood Drive to 48th Ave. SW, a small section of Third St. that expands east to University Drive south of Albany Drive, and ends southeast of the airport extending west to Washington St. A map of the outage area can be found on the company’s website. The outage is required to connect service to the area to a substation.

Montana-Dakota recommends that customers take time to prepare for this outage by backing up or shutting down computers and other electronic equipment. Thank you for your patience during this outage.
