[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Bank Robbed, Suspect in Custody

This afternoon at 2:24 p.m. Bismarck Police responded to a bank robbery at Bremer Bank, 710 South Washington Street. The suspect did not display a weapon. The suspect was described as a white male, in his 50’s, blonde mustache, wearing a black jacket, orange, white and black ball cap, and blue jeans. During the course of the investigation police learned the suspect was believed to have left on foot toward the Clem Kelly softball complex.

Numerous officers (19) from the Bismarck Police Department patrol and investigative sections saturated the area. Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department and Mandan Police Department were also notified to be on the lookout for the suspect.

Bismarck Police located a person matching the description underneath the Bismarck Expressway Bridge and arrested him for robbery at 2:55 p.m. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bismarck Police Department. No one was injured in the robbery. Formal charges are pending.
