Bismarck Police have made one arrest in connection with several graffiti vandalisms that were reported on March 10. Thomas J. Reichert, 22, Bismarck, was arrested yesterday afternoon for felony criminal mischief. He was taken to Burleigh County Detention Center.
On March 10, Wachter Middle School reported someone had spray painted graffiti on the south wall. Video surveillance of the suspects was uploaded to the Bismarck Police Department Facebook page.
Police received several tips naming Reichert as the suspect. Police located an address for him and found a vehicle registered to him that appeared to match the vehicle in the video. During the course of the investigation police located a picture of Reichert wearing a hat that appears to match the hat worn in the video. Police also obtained two surveillance photos from Mandan Police that appear to show Reichert purchasing spray paint in Mandan.
A search of Reichert’s residence was conducted on March 15. A baseball cap was confiscated from Reichert. The baseball cap appears to have the same symbol as the one in the video.
