Bismarck Airport is the proud recipient of roughly $6 million dollars in grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration. The grant offer was offered to the Airport on September 23rd in an amount of $6,042,833 for development of the Airport.
“We are extremely pleased to have received these federal funds,” Bismarck Airport Manager Greg Haug said. “This enables the airport to perform much needed ramp work including a section of the General Aviation ramp that has failed as well as construct a new, north electrical vault building.”
The $6 million dollar grant is in the form of discretionary funds which are distributed on a competitive basis to Airports based on need. The City Commission held a special meeting at noon on Friday, September 24th to accept the grant offer.
