Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City-County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, to consider the following items:
• Presentation and public hearing on the Fringe Area Road Master Plan Update. This Plan will identify the collector and arterial roadways desirable to support known development and future development in the areas adjacent to Bismarck, Mandan and Lincoln. A copy of the draft Plan is available for download and review on the project website (fringeroadplan.com). It is expected that the Planning & Zoning Commission will make a recommendation regarding the adoption of the Plan, as a component of the City’s Master Plan, at the conclusion of the public hearing.
• Request of Daniel Haakenson, Robert and Nadine Schaff, Curt and Diane Wentz and Verity Homes of Bismarck, LLC for approval of a final plat for High Meadows 12th Addition, a 45 lot subdivision on 9.16 acres. The property is located in northwest Bismarck, west of North Washington Street between Colt Avenue and Buckskin Avenue (a replat of Lots A and B of Lot 3, Block 2 and Lot 4, Block 2, KMK Estates Subdivision).
• Request of Daniel Haakenson, Robert and Nadine Schaff, Curt and Diane Wentz and Verity Homes of Bismarck, LLC for approval of a zoning change from the RR-Residential zoning district to the R5-Residential and PUD-Planned Unit Development zoning districts on High Meadows 12th Addition. The property is located in northwest Bismarck, west of North Washington Street between Colt Avenue and Buckskin Avenue (a replat of Lots A and B of Lot 3, Block 2 and Lot 4, Block 2, KMK Estates Subdivision).
• Request of Lloyd and Mary Deringer for approval of a final plat for Huber Second Subdivision, a three lot subdivision on 6.17 acres. The property is located northeast of Bismarck, along the south side of 43rd Avenue NE, east of 52nd Street NE (Lot A of Government Lot 1 of NW1/4, Section 19, 139N-R80W/Gibbs Township).
• Request of St. Alexius Medical Center and Morris Tschider for approval of a special use permit to allow an off-site parking lot to be located on Lots 7-9 less the East 10’ of the vacated alley, Block 37, Northern Pacific 2nd Addition. The property is located in central Bismarck, north of East Avenue A and east of 8th Street North (507 North 8th Street).
• Request of Deb and Gary Schmidt for approval of a special use permit to increase the total area of accessory buildings to 2,964 square feet on Lot 2, Block 3, Grande Prairie Estates 3rd Subdivision. The property is located north of 43rd Avenue NE, northeast of Bismarck, along the west side of Plainsman Road, and east of 26th Street North (5200 Plainsman Road).
• Request of Kurt Chaffee and New Song Church for approval of a special use permit to modify the existing special use permit to increase the number of children at the child care center located on Lots 1-2 and the West 40’ of the vacated 11th Street, Block 4, Century Commercial Park from fifty (50) children to eighty-one (81) children . The property is located in central Bismarck, along the east side of 10th Street, north of Weiss Avenue and west of State Street (3200 North 11th Street).
At these hearings, the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will provide an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard with respect to these items.
