We challenge our patrons to keep track of their reading during the challenge on our Beanstack site. Hundreds of libraries across the nation will be reading and learning alongside us for a chance to win circulation backpacks of STEM-related resources from the Space Science Institute.
Sat Oct. 1International Observe the Moon Night Join us as we look up to observe our moon along with the rest of the world community! There will be multiple activities, a special guest meteorologist, and a telescope available for viewing the moon. This event is offered in partnership with the Bismarck-Mandan chapter of Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons and Gateway to Science.
Mon Oct. 3Teen HQ Walk-In Hours During regular Library hours when walk-in times are not available, HQ will be available for individual or group study by teens in grades 6-12 by accessing a key from the Adult Information Desk. Teens are required to show a school or photo ID to Library staff in order to use the room. If teens do not have a school ID, they can ask to have one made by the Library staff.
