The Bismarck Library Foundation's 2019 Pearce Award for Library Service recipients, Dr. Walter and Carolyn Frank, are longtime supporters of the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library. The are longtime Gold Card members through annual contributions to the Bismarck Library Foundation and have also contributed generously to recent library campaigns, including the new Teen Headquarters, the Children’s Library renovation, The Gifted Bean Coffee House, and the new Bookmobile. The Franks have also contributed to the Foundation’s Endowment fund.

Carolyn has also been an active member of several committees and boards connected to the Library. She has served as a member of the Foundation Board since 2003. She is also a member of the Development Committee. Dr. Walter and Carolyn Frank were also awarded the Northern Plains Chapter, Association of Fundraising Professional’s “Philanthropists of the Year” award in 2019.
