We are excited to offer no-contact curbside pickup! Here’s how it works:

How do I use curbside pickup?

  • Place up to 5 items on hold using your library card. You can place holds through our online catalog, or by calling the library at 701-355-1480.
  • Once you are notified that your holds are available, come to the library during curbside hours, and park in one of the numbered parking spots in the north parking lot.
  • Call the phone number on the sign and provide your name and library card number to staff. You must provide your library card number in order to pick up your items.
  • Remain in your car, and either pop your trunk or roll down a back window. Staff will bring out your materials and place them in your trunk or back seat.

How will I know my holds are ready for pickup?

You will receive an email, text, or printed mail notice depending on your library account preferences. Please wait to come to the library to pick up your items until you receive a notice that your holds are ready for pickup.

What if I don’t have a library card?

Complete the library card application online, and one of our staff members will be in contact with you to give you your card number so you can place holds and access our digital resources. You will need to give staff your library card number when you arrive to pick up your items.

Can I return items I have checked out?

Items can be returned to the outside book drops. Staff will not be able to take return items from you at your vehicle.

What if I wasn’t able to pick up my items on hold before the library closed?

If you were notified that you had available holds but were unable to pick them up prior to the library closing, those items are still on hold for you and can be picked up curbside.
